In 1993, NuStep re-invented fitness and introduced the world to the first total body recumbent trainer that benefitted users of virtually any fitness level or functional ability. Nearly 20 years later, they've done it again. NuStep's line of Recumbent Cross Trainers reimagines cross training that's just as much at home in a professional facility as well as suitable for a home gym. Incredibly versatile, the T4r is more than just for general fitness purposes. The unit is ideal for PT sessions, cardiopulmonary rehab, improving cardiovascular function and sports medicine. That's why NuStep units are used in healthcare facilities, wellness centers, senior living residences and home gym studios around the world. By combining a natural sitting position with a smooth stepping motion, the NuStep works all major muscle groups from a comfortable seated position. Multifunctional, the T4r allows arms to be used alone, legs alone or both together. With the added benefit of resistance training, working out uses even more muscles and burns more calories. The T4r was designed with comfort and customization in mind. The seat is foam padded, ergonomically designed and has contoured back support. It can also be adjusted forwards and back within a range of 15". The arm handles are adjustable too while the rubber hand grips are soft and comfortable. Range-of-motion is also a personalized choice. The NuStep offers a maximum step length of 8.5" but users needing a smaller range can simply take shorter steps. The workload resistance system is powered by an all-belt drive. Quiet and frictionless, 10 different resistance settings are offered. The durable heavy-duty welded steel frame is powder coated while the zinc-plated components resist rust. The T4r offers two exercise programs. Quick Start allows users to get on and start exercising immediately while the Pace Partner program encourages users to maintain a steady pace by providing a "partner" that is displayed in the main console window. The display is easy to read and easy to use. Among the data displayed is resistance level, total steps, duration of workout, lap counter and lap progress. A media shelf and water bottle holder are below the screen. The supportive and stable foot pedals were designed to accommodate feet of various sizes. The T4r has a weight capacity of 400 lbs. No outlet needed. The T4r is user and battery powered only. With a chair that turns 360 degrees and a low step-through height that ranges from 9.5"-13.5", the T4r is built to be accessible. Pushing with the whole foot works the quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Pushing with only the balls of the feet targets just the calf muscles. The T4r is easy to relocate. Simply lift the unit with the front handle and roll on the rear wheels. With no wires, the T4r can be placed nearly anywhere. The sturdy metal construction of the Grab Ring provides additional support and stability for all users. It is now standard across all NuStep models, allowing users to safely get on and off with ease. The unit may be cleaned with any mild, non-toxic and non-abrasive cleaner.
