In 1993, NuStep re-invented fitness and introduced the world to the first total body recumbent trainer that benefitted users of virtually any fitness level or functional ability. Nearly 20 years later, they've done it again. NuStep's line of Recumbent Cross Trainers reimagines cross training for far more than just general fitness purposes. The unit is ideal for PT sessions, cardiopulmonary rehab, improving cardiovascular function and sports medicine. That's why NuStep units are used in healthcare facilities, wellness centers, senior living residences and home gym studios around the world. By combining a natural sitting position with a smooth stepping motion, the NuStep works all major muscle groups from a comfortable seated position. Multifunctional, the T5 allows arms to be used alone, legs alone or both together. With the added benefit of resistance training, working out uses even more muscles and burns more calories. The T5 was designed with comfort and customization in mind. The seat is foam padded, ergonomically designed, has contoured back support and can be adjusted forwards and back. Below it is the water bottle holder and contact heart rate grips are found on either side. The length of the arm handles are adjustable as well while the rubber hand grips are soft and comfortable. Workouts are adjustable and customizable too. Quiet and frictionless, 15 different workload resistance settings are offered, powered by an all-belt drive. Stepping range can also be adjusted from 2"-8.5". The durable heavy-duty welded steel frame is powder coated while the zinc-plated components resist rust. The T5 offers four pre-programmed exercise programs and a variety of profiles for different levels of interval training. The console features an easy to read LCD color display from which users can change resistance, select a program and view current workout stats. You can even choose which of the 9 available languages you prefer. Among the data displayed is resistance level, total steps, duration of workout, lap counter and lap progress. Manager Mode allows authorized personnel to view and export product and workout data, change factory default settings and turn features on and off. The T5 has a weight capacity of 500 lbs. and is suitable for exercisers sized 4'6"-6'7". The T5 is self-powered and typically does not require an external power source. However, to ensure proper operation, the equipment should be plugged in. The supportive and stable foot pedals are cushioned and oversized to accommodate feet of various sizes. Pushing with the whole foot works the quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Pushing with only the balls of the feet targets just the calf muscles. The console will automatically turn off after three minutes of inactivity on the trainer. The sturdy metal construction of the Grab Ring provides additional support and stability for all users. It is now standard across all NuStep models, allowing users to safely get on and off with ease. The unit may be cleaned with any mild, non-toxic and non-abrasive cleaner.
