In 1993, NuStep re-invented fitness and introduced the world to the first total body recumbent trainer that benefitted users of virtually any fitness level or functional ability. Nearly 20 years later, they've done it again. NuStep's line of Recumbent Cross Trainers reimagines cross training for far more than just general fitness purposes. The unit is ideal for PT sessions, cardiopulmonary rehab, improving cardiovascular function and sports medicine. That's why NuStep units are used in healthcare facilities, wellness centers, senior living residences and home gym studios around the world. By combining a natural sitting position with a smooth stepping motion, the NuStep works all major muscle groups from a comfortable seated position. Multifunctional, the T6 MAX allows arms to be used alone, legs alone or both together. With the added benefit of resistance training, working out uses even more muscles and burns more calories. Everything starts from the dual-screen console, which features an easy to read LCD color touchscreen display. The lower screen displays workout data including time, speed, distance, resistance and heart rate. From the visually stimulating upper screen, users choose can view their progress as well as access and choose which program to use. It also features an enhanced Pace Partner program that encourages users to maintain a steady pace by providing them a "partner" to keep pace with. In addition to Pace Partner, the T6 MAX offers a wide variety of exercise programs and profiles for different levels of interval training to suit users of all ability and fitness levels. The T6 MAX was designed with comfort and customization in mind. The seat is an extra-wide 22", foam padded, ergonomically designed, has contoured back support and can be adjusted forwards, back and recline 12 degrees, allowing users to find the perfect fit and position. Below it is a water bottle holder and contact heart rate grips are found on either side. The arm handles are adjustable as well, capable of rotating as well as extending, while the rubber hand grips are soft and comfortable. Workouts are adjustable and customizable too. Stepping range can also be adjusted up to 8.5". The durable heavy-duty welded steel frame is powder coated while the zinc-plated components resist rust. Please note, the T6 MAX has a weight capacity of 500 lbs. Quiet and frictionless, 15 workload resistance settings are offered, powered by an all-belt drive. However, to ensure proper operation, the equipment should be plugged in. The supportive and stable foot pedals are cushioned and oversized to accommodate feet of various sizes. Pushing with the whole foot works the quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Pushing with only the balls of the feet targets just the calf muscles. The console will automatically turn off after three minutes of inactivity on the trainer. The sturdy metal construction of the Grab Ring provides additional support and stability for all users. It is now standard across all NuStep models, allowing users to safely get on and off with ease. The unit may be cleaned with any mild, non-toxic and non-abrasive cleaner.
